After what seems an eternity, our doors are open once again.
Friday 6th August saw the bar open for the first time in roughly 18 months. Our stock has been replenished, surfaces sanitised and we look forward to getting back to normal.
Just like every other business, household or charity, we look forward to being unrestricted, but there are a few things to keep in mind:
There will be hand sanitisers at the entrance and at various locations around the community centre.
Maintain increased cleaning of contact points.
We encourage customers to pay by card.
We will prop open internal doors, including main doors to lavatories, where possible to minimise contact points.
Face masks are at customers and volunteers' discretion.
We would encourage the understanding of other people's opinions and hope that we can agree to use common sense. Failing that we will have to implement stricter rules.
The decision has been made to carry memberships over from last year to this year. This does of course have a financial impact on the club. The JustGiving page is still open, should you wish to donate towards the much needed refurbishment of the kitchen. Link can be found here.
In closing, the bar will be open Friday and Saturday evenings. We look forward to seeing you again for a drink or two.
